The Building acoustics group has been granted an NWO open science fund project that enables the group to continue on its way to promote open research software.
The project aims to foster a culture change regarding good practices in open science regarding the development and dissemination of research software in acoustics. Furthermore, it aims to accelerate the way researchers publish research software. These goals are reached by well-prepared workshops following best practices standards regarding open research software, and will be offered to the international research community at a conference and a PhD school, in a returning fashion after the project lifetime. The expected outcome is an improved impact and reproducibility of research in acoustics as well as the start of an open science community in acoustics.
The project will start in January 2024
