Xueying Guan joined the Building Acoustics group as a PhD student on April 1st, 2022. Her PhD study will contribute to the research line on the development of sound-absorbing materials, focused on the acoustic material design by 3D printing of natural fiber composites. She will explore multifunctional possibilities and optimization of 3D-printed sound absorbers for applications in the built environment.
Xueying holds master’s degree in building physics and services from the Eindhoven University of Technology and bachelor’s degree in architecture from the South China University of Technology.
