New group members

In the first three months of 2019, four new researchers have started working in our Building Acoustics research group!

  • JinJack Tan is a postdoctoral research fellow, who was awarded a 2-year EuroTech postdoc research grant with his research project MARS:  Integration of Musical Acoustics, Room acoustics and Sound perception
  • Jieun Yang is a postdoctoral research fellow as well, awarded a 2-year EuroTech postdoc research grant with her research project MetaBar: Metamaterial Noise Barriers for the Outdoor Environment
  • Wouter Wittebol has started as a PhD student, working on a hybrid acoustic modelling method for room acoustics, specifically dedicated to auralization
  • Marc van Baelen is working on the ZonMw project Auditory profile – a comprehensive assessment of auditory functions in the blind and visually impaired, also as a postdoctoral researcher
