My research sabbatical has come to an end. It have been 5 wonderful months, with plenty of time to spend with my family in Helsinki and Stockholm. I am grateful for my hosts Lauri Savioja & Tapio Lokki at Aalto and Mats Nilsson Stockholms University for offering me the opportunity to work in there labs for this period. During this research time, I developed a method to reconstruct a room impulse response for a translated sound source position, based on impulse responses from the original source position to the receiver. This is an achievement that can be very useful for postprocessing signals for real-time dynamic auralization of rooms. A scientific manuscript on this approach is ongoing!
